Lead-free will come
Even if there are still exemptions for the use of lead in the materials, in the long run the lead-free materials will prevail. The legal basis is provided by the ECHA EU Authority, Finland. This regulates the permitted substances via the requirements Reach, RoHs, etc.
There are already pioneers in the individual industries that are greatly reducing or completely banning lead in their products.
